Leslie Batts, 45 of 2678 Pine Ridge Road, passed away Wednesday July 22, 2026, at her home. 

In honoring the wishes of Leslie, cremation has been chosen by the family. At this time, no funeral or memorial services have been scheduled. 

Leslie was born in Sampson County on July 23, 1980, to the late Joyce Ann Batts and Robert Larson. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her unconditional love for her family and her deep compassion for animals. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those she loved and she never hesitated to offer comfort and kindness, or a helping hand. Her gentle spirit and loving nature will forever be cherished by all who knew her. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Felipe; her mother Joyce Ann Batts; and her uncle Sammie Batts.

Left to carry on the memory of Leslie are her sister: Penny Olaque of Tarboro, NC; brother: Phillip Kiton of South Dakota; uncles: Donnie Ray Batts (Rachel) of Clinton, NC; Timmy Batts (Robin) of Florida; aunt: Patrica Glunt of Clinton, NC; nieces: Lisa Conner Bryant of Roseboro, NC and Amber Johnson of Tarboro, NC; nephew: Everet Naylor of Clinton, NC.
