Mrs. Lena Yvonne Matthews, 61 of 305 E. Carter Street Clinton, NC died Wednesday August 15, 2012 at Mary Gran Nursing Center. Lena was born April 12,1951 in Sampson county to the Late Lloyd Matthews and Gennie Mae Brunson Matthews. She worked as Supervisor in Food Service at Heritage Care Nursing Center. She was proceded in death by a brother James Matthews. A Home Going Service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday Aug.18th ,2012 at Andrew Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Gerald Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memories: Daughter: Sholanda Dawson of Clinton Son: Jason Matthews of Dunn Brothers: Chevis (Jessie)Matthews, Glenwood Matthews, Lloyd Matthews Jr. (Elaine) all of Clinton.
