Leander Calvin Stevens Sr. "LC", 72, passed away on Monday, March 8th, 2021, in Chapel Hill, NC.

"LC" was born in Sampson County on January 29, 1949, to the late Thomas Stevens Sr. and Minnie Lee Stevens.

He was educated in the Clinton City school system. He graduated from Sampson High School. He worked at Beaunits Corporations, Thermopane Glass Co., Hamilton Beach and later Prestage Farm where he retired. He had a love for baseball, where he played for Clinton Braves. Later in life, he developed the love for riding horses.

A visitation was held on Friday, March 12, 2021, at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel from 2:00pm - 7:00pm with family present from 6:00pm - 7:00pm.

Graveside service was held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Springvale Cemetery in Clinton, NC.

In 1972, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Brenda Boykin. They were blessed with two sons, Leander Calvin Stevens Jr. and Reginald Lee Stevens. In addition to his parents, LC is preceded in death by one brother.

Leander leaves to cherish his memories, three sons, Cedric Shipp (Diana), Leander Calvin Stevens Jr., Reginald Lee Stevens; three daughters, Towanda, Shanese and Kiesha Stevens all of Clinton, NC; one brother, James Earl Stevens (Lizzie); five sisters, Elizabeth Peterson (Handy), Maggie Smith, Diane Peterson (Bennie), Laura Morrisey (Darius) & Della Bryant.
