Lawrence Richard Andrasko Jr. 66, of 32 Dogwood Acres Lane., passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
Lawrence was born June 4, 1957 in Boston, MA to the late Lawrence Andrasko Sr. and Marie-Kelly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Candace; brother, Robert "Ricky" Andrasko; and sister, Denise Rosa.
Lawrence grew up in McKees Rock in Pittsburgh, PA. He joined the Navy at a young age and upon returning home, joined his brother working with the carnival. When the carnival came to Clinton, Lawrence met his wife Candace "Boo". After traveling for another year, they settled down in Clinton and later became parents to their four girls. Lawrence recieved his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. He worked at Interpane Glass Company from 1990 to 2004, where he gained many friendships. When Interpane closed its doors, he became a QC for Dubose National Energy until he retired in 2022. There, the friendships he made turned into family bonds. Larry overcame many obsticles in his life proving his strength and bravery, while still putting others first. He always had a smile on his face or a joke to tell, no matter how he was feeling. Larry loved his family, blood or not.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC. Pastor Tyler Jernigan, officiating. Burial will follow in Springvale Cemetery located on West Elizabeth St., Clinton, NC.
The family will recieve guests from 1:00-2:00 pm, prior to the service, within the Hope Valley Hawkins Chapel.
Lawrence is survived by Daughters: Marie Andrasko (Allan) of Clinton, Missy Andrasko of the home, Kelly Andrasko of Clinton, and Larencia Andrasko of Clinton; Grandchildren: Madison Andrasko, Tristan Morrisey, Candace Barksdale, Georgeanna Barksdale, Aubrey'Ella Williams, Spencer Williams, Aiden Williams, and Carter Hudson; Great Granddaughter: Khylee Williams; Sister: Joyce Sampson (Joe) of Tucson, AZ; Mother-in-law: Evangeline Small of Clinton; Sister-in-laws: Sandy Lockamy (JC) of Clinton and Carla Small of Roseboro, Lisa Bass (Tim) of Clinton; Brother-in-law: Tom Small of Garland; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
