Harrells Mr. Larry Gordon, (The Blue Grass Nut) 70 of 1583 Belvin Maynard Road, formerly of Rutledge, Georgia, died Friday, January 15, 2010 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro. Born in 1939 in Johnston County, Larry was the son of the late Willie and Eva Lawhorn Gordon; He retired from Shepard Construction after 38 years. In his spare time, he loved hunting, fishing, and watching NASCAR racing, but most of all he loved his family and friends. A Celebration of Larry's Life will be held 3:30 pm Sunday January 17, 2010 at the family's home, 1583 Belvin Maynard Road, Harrells with Pastor Johnny Murphy officiating. Larry is survived by his sisters: Annie Long of Harrells Jean Sessoms of Clinton Ruthy Nagel of Arizona Myra and husband Joe Gower of Garner Stepdaughter: Beth Schramm of Monroe Ga. Very Special Nieces and Nephews: Robert and Caren Long of Harrells Denise and Michael McLamb of Ingold Great Nieces and Nephews: Faith, Daniel, Catie, Eva and Roxie The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the Staff of Mary Gran Nursing Center and all the Doctors and Nursing Staff at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
