Obituary

Faison, Kenneth Ray Moore 54 of 2044 West Hwy. 403 passed away on Friday March 3, 2017 at his home. Whereas GOD almighty has spoken so the battle was over for our beloved husband, son, brother, earthly relative and friend Kenneth R. Moore on March 3, 2017. He was acquainted with suffering and exchanged it to preside in the presence of Peace and Serenity at last. Kenneth was the Eldest son born to the union of the late Handsom O'Berry Moore and yet living mother, Katie Moore, a resident of Mary Gran Nursing Center. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Bernice, Carrie and Vickie in addition to the fraternal and maternal grandparents. A Home Going service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, burial will follow in the Cobb Cemetery in Faison. Left to cherish loving memories are: Wife; Nancy Moore of the home Children: Angel Moore of Faison, NC Jerome Wright of Snow Hill, NC Brian Calhoun of Roseboro, NC Sister: Christina Fonseca of Kenansville NC Uncle: Deacon Eugene Wolfe and wife Stella of Faison, NC In-Laws: Nelson & Carolyn Lee of Mount Olive, NC Nephews: Jayden & Ayden of Kenansville, NC including a host of nieces, nephews, relative and friends. Kenneth spent most of his life representing the father figure in his family and keeping the peace. He loved the mechanical side of things and was often seen tinkering on a motor or engine of some sort. He also was drawn to truck driving and worked for Mr. Copeland and Burch Farms until his health declined, and let us never forget the familiar scene of him laid back in the wind leaving all his cares behind as he rode his beloved motorcycle. Kenneth was a member of Hill's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Faison and often attend especially on Father's Day and other special celebrations. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation from 2:00pm - 6:00pm with family present from 5:00pm - 6:00pm. In Lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC to help the family offset funeral expenses.
