Kayla Michelle Byrd Matthews 26 of 128 Northeast Road passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Vidant-Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville. Born in Orange County, NC in 1990 to James Byrd Sr. and Brenda Tyndall, Kayla enjoyed outdoor activities like four wheelers and fishing, her favorite color was blue. She loved many things in life but most of all she loved her family and her children. Kayla is preceded in death by Grandmother Susan Hainey, Grandfather Bill Tyndall, and Brother Oscar Daniel Tyndall. Funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, Inurnment will be held privately.
