Karen Patricia Griffith, aged 59, danced her way into the heavenly spotlight on December 8, 2023, in Wilmington, North Carolina. Born on October 13, 1964, in The Whim St. Peters Barbados, Karen attended Andrew Jackson High in Queens New York. Karen was a force of joy and strength, leaving behind a legacy that will keep her memory alive.

Karen, the ultimate multitasker, waltzed through life as an amazing mother, nana, daughter, and sister. With a work ethic that could outshine any disco ball, she grooved her way through over a decade at Precision Tools and Stamping. No matter what hurdles came her way, Karen never missed a beat, always staying humble and never showing weakness. When the music played, she would grab her family and boogie the night away. And let's not forget her legendary scallion chicken – it was finger-licking good!

To know Karen was to shimmy into her heart forever. Her infectious love and zest for life left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Now, she's twirling and twirling, living her best life on the dance floor in heaven.

Karen leaves behind a trail of love and laughter. Survived by her rockstar mother, Glenda Sobers, and her siblings Fay Trice, Lisa Cassell, and Ian Griffith, she will forever be their shining star. Her daughters, Ebony Taylor and Jaimee Griffith, and her grandchildren Tiyana Ingram, Ariyana Raynor, Brandon Raynor, Loveah Taylor, Aliyah Ingram, Chariyah Bell, and Za'Von Rich will miss her infectious spirit and dance moves.

Karen was predeceased by her father, Noel Griffith, and her grandparents Iris Skeete and Rupert Skeete. She is also fondly remembered by her grandchild Nariyah Rich.

The extraordinary team at Hope Valley Hawkins in Clinton, North Carolina, will be assisting with the arrangements. Get ready to celebrate Karen's life and dance away your sorrows! Funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023, with visitation 1 hour prior, from 1:00-2:00 pm, at Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church located at 531 Marion-Amos Rd, Roseboro, NC 28382. Dr. S E Bryant, officiating.

There will also be a visitation held 12:00-6:00 pm, family present 5:00-6:00 pm, on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

Karen Patricia Griffith brought the rhythm to our lives, and her memory will forever keep us on our toes. Rest in peace, dancing queen.
