Joyce Ann Armwood 62, passed away at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

Joyce was born May 22, 1959 to Edgar James Armwood and Lettie Lucille Armwood. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Joyce is preceded in death by her father Edgar James Armwood.

Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC 28328. Pastor Elder Durrell McCray, officiating.

Visitation is Friday, April 15, 2022 from 2:00-7:00 pm with family present from 6:00-7:00 pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, Clinton, NC 28328.

Left to cherish Joyce's memory are her children: Cindy McCray (Pastor Durrell McCray) of Raleigh, NC, LaTonya Armwood of Turkey, NC, Antonio Armwood (Shandre Armwood) of Clinton, NC; her siblings: Shurby Jean Lewis of Garner, NC, Edgar Armwood Jr. (Barbara Jean) of Turkey, NC, Barbara Ann Newton (Sylvester) of Harrells, NC, Dan Lee Armwood (Sharon) of Clinton, NC, Mitchell Earl Armwood (Norma) of Newton Grove, NC, Irene Armwood of Faison, NC; aunts: Evelyn Armwood of Faison, NC, Elma S McCalop of Faison, NC, Luevancie Teachey of Faison, NC; Special cousin/sister: Anna Tatum, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Joyce also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
