Johnny Joyner, 46 of 3777 Goldsboro Hwy, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at his home.
Funeral Service will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery in Newton Grove, NC, located on Hwy 701.
Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.
Johnny was born in Wayne County on March 21,1980, to Johnny Mack and Sandra Joyner. He was a hardworking and devoted man, who took great pride in his work and in being able to lend a helping hand to others. He spent many years as a farm worker with Warren Farms, where his strong work ethic and dependable nature were well known. A true jack of all trades, he had a natural talent for working with his hands and could fix just about anything. He enjoyed working on tractors and motorcycles, he found peace and happiness in the great outdoors. His faith was also an important part of his life, he attended Westbrook Grove Lighthouse Church. Above all, he loved his family dearly and treasured the time spent with those closest to his heart. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his willingness to help others, his many talents, and the love he so freely gave to his family.
Johnny is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Lynn Jones Jr. and paternal grandparents: John William Joyner and Agatha Massey Joyner.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents: Johnny Mack and Sandra Jones Joyner of Newton Grove, NC; his children: Cameron Joyner of Mount Olive, NC and Cheyanne Joyner of Mount Olive, NC; mother of the children: Ashley Harris Joyner of Mount Olive, NC; his siblings: Jennifer (Jason) Broadhead of Newton Grove, NC, Jackie (Pat) Joyner of Newton Grove, NC and John Robert (Logan) Joyner of Newton Grove, NC; his grandmother: Julia Jones of Four Oaks, NC; along with his many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
