Johnnie Anne Colwell Powell 54 of 3535 Needmore Road Turkey,  died Saturday October 9, 2021, at Duke Hospital surrounded by her family.

Born in 1967 to the late Johnnie Edward and Anne Overton King  Colwell, Johnnie Anne worked in accounting. She enjoyed working and playing candy crush but most of all Johnnie loved spending time with her family. Johnnie Anne will truly be missed by each and every one. In addition to her parents Johnnie Anne is also preceded in death by her nephew Jackson Braswell and mother-in-law Peggy Powell.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church, 4246 New Hope Church Road,  burial will follow in Cook Cemetery on Myers Lane in Turkey, NC

Johnnie Anne leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 30 years: Jerry Powell, Jr. of the home, children: Jasmin Powell and Jeremy Powell both of the home, sister: Kathy Colwell and husband Jeff of Turkey, father-in-law: Jerry Powell, Sr. of  Warsaw, sisters-in-law: Angela Taylor and husband  Frankie of  Mt. Olive and Heather Braswell and husband David of Turkey, a host of nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC.
