Wednesday 27, 2013 Goldsboro, Reverend John Earl Dockery (affectionately known as Bobby by his family) was born on October 9, 1933 in Lumberton, NC, to the late James "Jay" Dockery and Mary Frances Dockery. He transitioned from labor to reward on Friday, March 22, 2013. He is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Annie McCormick Dockery; three children, Joseph Dockery, Annette Dockery and Vincent Dockery; seven grandchildren; & six great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5pm to 8pm at New St. John AME Church, 1307 S. Slocomb St, Goldsboro, NC. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 12noon at McCormick Chapel AME Church, 215 S Main St, Lumberton, NC. Interment will be held at Elizabeth Heights Cemetery following the services.
