Obituary

New York,

John Bullock 61 of 90 Desibo Place Inwood, NY passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017.

John Haywood Bullock was born on October 5, 1956 in Faison, North Carolina.  He was the 9th child born to John Jasper Bullock (deceased) and Ruth Lee Bullock (Inwood NY).  On November 10, 2017 he departed this life.  John was known to everyone as Johnny or Bullock.  He graduated from Far Rockaway High School in 1974.  After graduation he attended Durham Business School in Durham, North Carolina.

Johnny was a loving and caring father to his daughters.  Whenever, they would ask him for anything he would tell them No but, would always call them later and say Yes.

Johnny worked at Porsche and Audi for several years as a Mechanic.  He was last employed at Metro Petroleum as a truck driver for over 10 years.

Every day after work he would work on his cars.  He would work on those cars and anyone else's car in the rain, sleet and snow.  On his days off he would go down to Beach 8th street and fish for hours.

Several years ago, Johnny told his mother and his siblings that he was going to purchase a house and move her with him.  He kept his promise.

Johnny was a great basketball player in the community and in college.  Johnny had 2 brothers that stuck by him on the court and off.  These 2 brothers were by another mother as they would say.  Those 2 brothers are Don and Stanley.  On the basketball court Stanley would get in trouble but Johnny would fight his battles.

A lot of people respected Johnny because he would speak his mind and come back like he did you a favor by telling you off.  His nephews can fill you in on those details later.  This was all out of love.  He would give you the shirt off his back if you asked for it.  That was the kind of heart Johnny had.  Johnny will be truly missed by family and friends.

Home Going Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at New Vision Christian Church, burial will follow in Sandhill Cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his memories, 2 daughters Lorraine Ramsey (Chester VA), and Dejona Bullock (New Jersey), 1 stepdaughter Ashley Cribbs, 1 grandson Ashton Cribbs (Inwood NY) his mother Ruth Bullock (Inwood NY), 3 brothers, Raydolph (Temple) Bullock, Newton Grove NC, Earl preceded him in death, (Edna) Bullock, Clinton NC   and Reggie Bullock preceded him in death, 6 sisters, Doris Haynes, Far Rockaway, NY, Carolyn (Harold) Chancy, Newton Grove, NC, Gloristein Bullock, Far Rockaway, NY, Allie (Lynwood) Hill, Fayetteville , NC, Kathy Bullock, Inwood, NY, Sheri (Pendarvis) Williams, Philadelphia, PA, 3 aunts Connie Brown, Nancy Thompson and Mallie Stokes, a dear friend Gloria Wilson of New York and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
