John Henry Boomer 78 formerly of Clinton passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC.

John Henry Boomer, known to many as Johnny was born November 23rd, 1942, to the late James & Perlen Boomer in Sampson Regional Hospital in Clinton, North Carolina. He departed his life at Howard University Hospital in Washington, Dc on late Sunday night, August 22nd, 2021.

John Boomer attended Hargrove School in Sampson County. He later moved to Washington, DC where he worked for many many years in construction until his health began to fail him. He was a hard worker. He would do whatever he could to help anyone. He was full of life, love and laughter. Johnny really really loved his family and friends. Johnny would bring any party to life if it seemed boring. John Boomer is preceded in death by one daughter: Sherby Boomer, 3 Sisters and 3 Brothers.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Sandhill Cemetery in Clinton, NC.

A walk thru will be held from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Friday. September 3, 2021 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife: Bernadean Boomer. 5 Daughters: Vickie Boomer, Verlene Boomer, Sharon Boomer, Johnetta Crowley, Tamethia Greene all of Washington, DC. 3 Sons: John Isaac and wife Bianca of Atlanta Georgia, Dorsel  Knight and Antwan Knight both of Washington, DC. 3 Sisters: Mary McGhee of Turkey, NC, Gloria Mitchell of Fayetteville, NC, Evangelist Bessie Carter of Hope Mills, NC. 3 Brothers: James Jones of New York,  Joe Boomer of NW Washington, DC, Podes Boomer  and wife Linda of Washington, DC. 32 Grandchildren,  48 great grandchildren, 8 Bonus Children: Kishika Greene, Phyllis Greene, Dwayne Greene, Stella Mcrae, David Mcrae, John E. Isaac, Brian Iassc and Tomasasina Hardy, 19 more bonus grandchildren and 4 bonus great grandchildren.
