Jimmie Melvin 70 passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Autum Winds Nursing Home.

Home Going Service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 at at 12:00 pmHope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, burial will follow in the Dove Chapel Church Cemetery, 10350 Turnball Road, Fayetteville.

Jim leaves behind two daughters:Tara Melvin and Tanisha Melvin both of Newburgh, NY, two grandchildren: Qaadir and Ghamani. He also leaves behind three brothers: Thornie and wife Betty Melvin of Raleigh, NC, Julius Ray Melvin and Bobby & wife Kathy Melvin all of Roseboro, NC, two sisters: Ruby C. Peterson of Roseboro, NC and Lizzie "Sue" Stevens and husband Earl of Clinton, NC; a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel from 2:00pm – 7:00 pm with family present from 6:00 – 7:00.
