Clinton, Janice Aderinto 58 of 413 W. Still Street passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Health Systems. Janice Jacobs Aderinto was born in Clinton, NC to Johnny Lee Boykin and Johncie Lee Jacobs on December 7, 1958. Upon completion of high school at Clinton High School, she attended Hardbarger Junior College of Business in Raleigh, NC and graduated with an associate's degree in Business Administration. After college, Janice worked in various roles for the federal government. She worked as a paralegal for the law firm Pearson and Archibald in Washington, DC. Janice also worked as a senior administrator for Ameritech Corporation, in Chicago, IL. Janice was a dignified woman that displayed the innate ability to beat the odds. Around age of 38, Janice was diagnosed with diabetes. Throughout the years, the disease took a toll on her health, but she did not let that stop her from making her mark on the community in which she lived. From volunteering with the Sampson High School Alumni Association to chairing the fundraising committee at Lisbon Street Missionary Baptist, Janice was committed to helping others and encouraging them to do their best. Janice is preceded in death by her mother Johncie Lee Jacobs and her son Zachary Aderinto. A Home Going Service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:00 am at Lisbon Street Baptist Church with Rev. Thadius Godwin officiating, burial will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery. Janice is survived by sons Dominique (Javonne) Williams and Breyon (Ayesha) Williams; her brothers Johnny (Felicia) Boykin, Dexter (Natasha) Boykin, and Gary Whitted; her father Johnny (Gerri) Boykin; her grandson Logan Williams; and the father of her late son Adebowale "Richard" Aderinto. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm with family present from 6:00pm - 7:00pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton. Service are entrusted to Hope Valley Hawkins.
