Jana Sue (Hollander) Pistole 73, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024, in the comfort of her home, with her daughter, Mary by her side.

Jane was born in Catawba County, NC on December 12, 1950 to the late Ronald James Hollander and Amber Gay. She worked in nutrition for the Mecklenburg County School System until her health declined. She enjoyed reading in her spare time and spending time with her daughter, Mary and her partner Sher. She also loved spending time with her extended family. She loved the beach and the mountains and her favorite music was Blue Grass. She had a soft spot for cats and dogs.

In honoring Jana's wishes, she was cremated and scattered her homeplace in the mountains of North Carolina.

Left to cherish Jana's memory are her children: Jana Ruth Pistole of Charlotte, NC, Joshua B. Pistole (Angela) of Gatonia, NC, and Mary R. Pistole (Sher) of Newton Grove, NC; sister: Shirley G. Arnette of Harrisburg, NC; and cousin: Marcella Wilson of Ashboro, NC.
