Clinton
James Lester Junior Jefferson (June) transitioned from earthly life to eternal life on Friday, October 5, 2018. June was born in Sampson County to the late James Wesley and Livie Holmes Jefferson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Lee Jefferson. June attended school in the Sampson County District. Throughout his life, he worked several local farmers. June, also known as the Clutch Man, was an active and dedicated softball player with the Clinton Sluggers for several years. He gained many lasting friends during the years he played softball and through the years just being June. His favorite saying, "You won't bet nothing". He joined Holly Grove Church at a very early age. He has attended his community church under the leadership of Pastor Elveria Underwood.
