James Robert Jacobs 81, passed away on Monday September 19, 2022 at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton.

James was born December 19, 1940 in Sampson County to the late Rev. Steven Jacobs and Mary E. Ammons Jacobs. In his younger years James served as a deacon within the Baptist church. James worked for UPS as a driver and loved to sing.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, September 23, 2022 at Kingdom Hall, 3180 Roseboro Hwy. Clinton, NC 28328. David Padgett, officiating.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Steven and Mary Jacobs; daughter Brenda; 2 brothers Ervin and Furn; 2 sisters Aldeon and Sylvia; his wife of many years Lillie Christen Brewington Jacobs.

He leaves to cherish his memory daughters Wanda and Tina; sisters Evelyn of Clinton, NC and Dorothy of Mexico and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren all of Concord, NC.
