Faison- Mr. James Harper, 61 of 2651 Water Treatment Rd. died Friday May 27, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC. A home going service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday June 3rd, 2011 at Hope Valley Chapel with the Rev. Charles Sampson officiating. Burial will follow at the Cobb Cemetery in Faison, NC. Mr. Harper was born May 29, 1949 to the late James Henry Harper and Deloris Craddock in Wayne County, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by one daughter: Angeline McDaffie Starkie. He leaves to cherish his memories: Five (5) Sons : James Earl Harper Jr. of Greenevers, NC, Lawrence D. Harper of Butner, NC, Anthony Raynor of Durham, NC, Ricky McDuffie of Turkey, NC, and Curtis McDuffie of Turkey, NC. Three (3) Daughters: Sonya Raynor Dalson of Germany, Erica Wicker of Durham, NC, Theresa Raynor of Durham, NC. One (1) Sister: Barbara Harper Owens of Faison, NC, 20 Grandchildren, 4 Great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
