Mr. James David Boone, son of the late Johnny B. Faison and the late Geneva B. Beamon, was born September 14, 1951 in Sampson County. He departed this life on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, NC "Cat" as he was affectionately called attended the Sampson County Public School system. At an early age he joined the Greater Six runs Missionary Baptist Church of Turkey, NC. He worked at Butterball LLC. in Mt. Olive, NC in the maintenance dept. until his health declined after 28 years of service. He was a jack of all trade, master of many, farmer, mechanic, carpenter, welder and a semi pro pool player. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Annie W. Boone on February 19, 1973 an to this union two children were born. He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife Annie W. Boone of Warsaw, NC; son, James L. Boone of Warsaw, NC; daughter, Miranda Bryant of Rose Hill, NC; two sisters, Joan Williamson of Clinton, NC, Joyce (Joe) Joyner of Faison, NC,; Five grandchildren, LaMeisha Rakeem, Brandon, Zachary and Xavier all of Rose Hill, NC, three great-grand children; Devin McGee Jr., Cali Ward and Jayden Bryant, two nephews; Tangus and Archie of Clinton, NC, four aunts; two uncles and three sisters-in-law, special friends; Benard Register, Gary Jessup and James Ray Register, and a host of great nephew, great nieces, other relatives and friends. A Home Going Service will be held 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Greater Six Runs Missionary Baptist Church, 400 Six Runs Church Road, Turkey with Rev. Leslie Morrissey officiating, burial will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 2:00 - 5:00 with family present from 5:00 - 6:00 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.
