Thursday, March 14, 2013 Mount Olive, Mr. Jamal (Mel) Wright, 27, of 148 Cleveland Drive, Mt. Olive, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton. Mr. Wright was born on May 22, 1985, in Duplin County to the late Loyal Williams and Loria Wright. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, March 17, at First Baptist Church in Calypso, with the Rev. Anthony Ezzell, officiating. He is survived by his Grandmother, Mary Anna Wright of Mt. Olive; two sons, Jonte Shipway of Salemburg and Jahmarion Rivers of Mt. Olive; one brother, William Wright of Mt. Olive; one sister, Kisha Wright, also of Mt. Olive and his Grandfather, William Thompson of New York. Public viewing will be from 2 to 6pm on Saturday, March 16, at First Baptist Church in Calypso; Family will be present from 5-6pm. The Wright Family has entrusted professional services to Hope Valley Funeral Service & Cremation.
