Clinton- Mr. Hezekiah "H.B" Best, 71 of 310 Westover Rd. died Sunday June 5, 2011 at Mary Gran Nursing Center. A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday June 11, 2011 at Mt. Calvary FBH Church, located at 515 Southeast Blvd., with Pastor Hamp Pooser officiating. Burial will follow at the Sandhills Cemetery. Mr. Best was born December 29, 1939 in Sampson County to the late Horace Best Sr., and Josephine Jacobs. "H.B" was drafted into the United States Army in March of 1962 out of Newburgh, New York. He was assigned to the USAR Control Group, serving as a expert rifle man. He leaves to cherish his memories : Two (2) Daughters: Felicia Best of Clinton, NC and Sabrina Jones of Dale City, VA. Two(2) Brothers: Rivest Best of Langley Park, MD, and Joe Davis of Newburgh, NY. One(1) Sister Elsie Ruth Best of Florida. Six (6) Grandchildren, Three(3) Great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. A public viewing will be held from 1:00 pm-7:00pm on Friday June 10, 2011 with the family present from 6:00 pm- 7:00 pm. The family has entrusted Hope Valley Funeral Service & Cremation of Clinton.
