Herman Lee Butler 72, of Salemburg, NC died Saturday June 10, 2017. He was born October 4, 1944. He was preceded in death by his parents Naomi Williams Beatty and Craven Butler, (4) brothers Cardell, Thurman, Cherry, and Weldon and (1) sister Elizabeth. Home going Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Lakewood High School with Rev. Freddie Herring officiating, burial will be held in Faircloth/Herring Family Cemetery. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Betty Sue of the home, (1) Daughter Betsy "Missy" Mattocks (Richard) of Garner, NC. , (3) sons Herman "Leroy"(Stephanie) of Jacksonville, NC, Gregory(Katrina) of Wade, NC, and Jermaine of Salemburg, NC. (6) grandchildren, (5) great-grandchildren. (3) sisters Elma Garnett of Fort Washington, M.D., Betty Beatty of Clinton, NC, and Debbie Butler of Baltimore, MD. And a host of other family and friends. .Visitation will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. from 2:00pm - 5:00pm with family present from 5:00pm - 6:00pm.
