Gloria Jean Stewart, God's precious flower was plucked from her earthly home and planted in her heavenly home on December 18, 2021 while at Southwood Nursing and Retirement Center in Clinton, NC.

Gloria was the daughter of Minnie Pearl Thompson and the late Owen McKinley Thompson. She was a woman of integrity. Gloria was a caregiver to not only her family but anyone who needed her. She worked as a private duty CNA for many years. There was nothing she wouldn't do for others. Gloria was a member of the Greater Six Runs Missionary Baptist Church where she also sang in the senior choir. She loved music. It was one of her passions.

Gloria is preceded in death by her father Owen McKinley Thompson and son Isaiah Stewart and brother Dawn Thompson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Kemba Center located at  860 N Pine St, Warsaw, NC 28398. Burial will follow at Sandhill Cemetery on McKoy Street in Clinton.

Gloria leaves to cherish her loving memories her son Joshua Stewart (Niasia); grandchildren Khloie Bryant, Kayleb Stewart, Serenity Stewart, Kacie Stewart, Cayden Stewart; her mother Minnie Pearl Thompson of Turkey, NC; sisters Mchildia Carroll, Evangalene Williams, Marable Sellers  (Joe) of Turkey, NC, Mary Thompson of Clinton, NC; brothers Chancy Thompson of Turkey, NC, Jonathan Thompson of Goldsboro, NC, Owen Thompson Jr. (Thelma) of Lawton, OK; adopted sister Juanita Whitehead and adopted daughter Kany Whitehead; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Walk Thru will be held from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel , 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC 28328. Family will be present from 4:00 pm -5:00 pm.
