George Westley Herbert Jr. 77 passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Mary Gran Nursing center in Clinton, North Carolina.

Born on April 12, 1941 in Montgomery, Alabama to the late George Herbert Sr. and Emma Amerson. He received his education and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. George made his living doing farm work.

George had many hobbies; he loved to dance  and sing. George could always be found watching old western movies. He attended Peoples Baptist Church of Montgomery Alabama. In addition to his parents George is also preceded in death by sisters: Barbara Brown & Elton McWhorter.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm May 18th 2018 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel by Minister Willie Griffin officiating Burial will be held  Sandhill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm before the service.

George leaves to cherish his many memories:

Daughters: Elizabeth Knight & Barbara Jean Hubbard both of Alabama.

Sisters: Archie Lee Jones of Alabama and Shirley Hubbard also of Alabama.

Special Brother-in-Law: Albert Brown Sr.
