Frances McCarley Frost, 78, passed away at Southwood Nursing Center on Monday, July 4, 2022.

Frances was born June 30, 1944 in Alabama to the late Jessie and Allen McCarley Sr. She spent time in her youth sharing the word of God and later went on to work at the Roseboro Cotton Mill. Later in her 40s she made the decision to return to school and became a hairdresser. Frances did some travelling over the years, exploring different places within North Carolina and even seeing places outside of the country, living for a time in Germany. She loved crafting, especially crocheting. Most of all Frances loved spending quality time with her family and friends.

The Family will hold a Memorial Service at 11:00 am on Saturday July 9, 2022 at Church of God of Prophecy Stedman, located at  5371 NC-210, Stedman, NC 28391.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Frost Sr.; two of her siblings: Allen McCarley Jr. and Janet Player and two of her grandchildren: Damion Frost and Caleb Melville.

Left to cherish the memory of Frances are her children: Jimmie Frost Jr. and wife Sharon of Autryville and Jeanne Burton and companion Thomas Tanner of Autryville; siblings: Thomas McCarley and wife Jen of Fuquay-Varina, Brenda Simpson and husband Harry Sr. of Roseboro and Margie Beaudoin and husband Bob of Raeford; grandchildren: Jessica Frost of Autryville, Kristen Frost of Autryville, Jodi Barker of Fayetteville, William "Joshuah" Barker of New Mexico and Savanna Barker of Autryville; and great-grandchildren: Christopher Justus, William Justus, Tre'Lynn Ford and Rozalyn Barker. Frances also leaves her long-time companion Wayne Smith.

The Family asks that in lieu of flowers, any memorials be made to Hope Valley Hawkins to help cover funeral costs.
