Eva Lee Williams 82, of 706 Williams St., departed this life for her heavenly reward on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Eva was born on April 4th, 1941 in Sampson County to the late Harden D. Warren Williams and Rosie H. Williams.

Eva graduated from Sampson Tech in 1973. She went on to hold a number of jobs over the years, including farm work, cleaning homes and babysitting. She was a member of Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church.

Words that could best be used to describe Eva are strong, independent, hard working, caring, and loving. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her favorite phrases were always "Baydoll" and "Got to mighty knows".

Eva loved to cook and was always whipping up something delicious. She loved to sit and read her bible, plant flowers and vegetables in her garden, listen to her favorite radio station WCLN 1170, and talk on the phone to family and friends. Eva also enjoyed getting out and going on trips and driving around. She could often be found cruising to Dairy Queen to get their chocolate ice cream she loved so much.

Eva is preceded in death by her parents: Harden D. Warren Williams and Rosie H. Williams; brothers: James Howard, Harden Williams Jr., and Bill Ray (Bobby) Williams; sisters: Rida Bell McDoe, Ruth Ann Williams, Mary Kate Oates, and Betty Gail Faison; as well as a grandson: Antrell D. Garner.

A Home Going Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC 28328. Bishop Eddie Parker officiating. Burial to follow at Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 4721 Bearskin Rd, Clinton, NC 28328.
