Obituary

Eric Sanders passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2020 at his home.

Graveside service will be held at 4:00pm Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Sandhill Cemetery in Clinton with Pastor Leonard Henry officiating.

Eric, Peanut as we so fondly and often called him, was born September 2, 1986 to Cornell Brown and Bettye Jean Sanders. He has two sisters, Felicia and Sharonda along with three brothers, Willie, Ozzie and Dalbert. He has several aunts and uncles with Angela and Darrell Walcott being very important figures in Peanut's life.  Some of the happiest days of his life were when his children were born. Jaiden Devone, Jaida-Symone, Jakobe-Alexander, Dev'Ana, and Erie'Ana. A son, Chase was still born.

Peanut graduated from Hobbton High School in 2005 here most knew him as being quiet with a sly smile that lit up any room. He was a friend to all. He loved to watch football and play basketball which he did for several seasons with Piney Grove Baptist Church team. He desired to have a better life for himself and his kids so he attended and graduated from Roadmaster Truck Driving School in 2014. He loved to drive but missed his kids. He was so tickled the first time he brought home a truck of his own. He had to show the kids everything about it and they were tickled too! He loved to teach the older boys how to play ball and would let Jaida-Symone paint his fingernails. He strived to do better and be better. That sly smile would get you every time no matter how bad he had just aggravated you. It was always good to see him!

Eric was called home on the morning of October 29, 2020 unexpectedly with plans for that day and even the days ahead but God's plan is greater than ours. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you."  "For I knew you before I formed you in the womb", Jeremiah 1:5.

Peanut will truly be missed but we have the assurance that he is wrapped in God's loving arms and at peace with no pain and no sorrow. It seems sometimes there just aren't words that are strong enough to convey our emotions. So it's not goodbye but until we see you again Peanut. You will forever be in our hearts and thoughts and in the smiles of your babies-your legacy. Keep us a seat warm close by-see ya when we get there!
