On the morning of February 13, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, God knew best when he called our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother to come to his heavenly home.

He was born on November 18, 1949 to the late Alexander (Little Bud) & Gladys Boykin in Clinton, NC. He attended Sampson High School; during his high school years he loved playing football, singing in the choir. Elliott was also known as the best dancer at Sampson High School.

A Home Going Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Big Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev, Ray Bolton officiating, burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.

Left to cherish his loving memories is his wife Mary Boykin of the home, children Toneika Murphy of Salemburg, NC, Elliott (Bud) Boykin of Charlotte, NC and LaToya (Shanta) Boykin of Clinton, NC, 8 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren, Sisters: Barbara Murphy and Maggie Draughon both of Clinton, NC, Brothers: James Boykin (Niece) of Lumberton, NC, Robert Boykin of New Jersey, Eddie Boykin of Clinton, NC and Gary Boykin (Willette) of Garner, NC. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 1:00pm – 6:00pm with family present from 6:00pm – 7:00pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.
