Dwanda Rose Tyndall Jackson 73, of 697 Tyndall Town Rd., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at her home.

Dwanda was born on March 17, 1950, in Sampson County to the late Troy O. and Margaret O. Tyndall. She loved visits to the mountains, attending church, and reading her Bible. Most of all she loved to play Scrabble, but always with her cheat sheets in hand.

Those preceding Dawanda in death include her husband, Thomas Jackson; sisters: Elizabeth Benton, Leisa Shaw, and Lillie Tyndall; brothers: Stacy, Newton, Henry, Devance, and R.W. Tyndall; mother, Margaret Tyndall Flenniken; and father, Troy O. Tyndall.

Funeral Service was held 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Tyndall Grove PH Church, 800 Tyndall Grove Rd, Clinton, NC 28328. Rev Larry Barnes & Rev. Chris Bishop, officiating. Burial will follow in the Spell-Tyndall Cemetery.

Those left to cherish the memory of Dawanda include: son, Jermore Jackson (Anzee) of Clinton, NC; daughters: Denice Hollingsworth (Jeffrey) and Teresa Lucas (Eddie) both of Clinton, NC; sisters: Carolyn Faircloth of Clinton, NC, and Lue Vinnie Depasquale (Gary) of Hays, NC; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 step great grandchild.
