Dorothy Jean Hollingsworth Westbrook, 89, passed away November 2, 2023, at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Born in Clinton, NC, June 10, 1934, Jean was beloved by her family, church, and community. She was predeceased by her husband Billy and her parents Tom and Winnie Hollingsworth.

She is survived by her sons Billy Gene (wife, Debbie) and Roy; granddaughters Rose, Raven (husband, Art), and Francis Jean; and great grandchildren Elizabeth (husband, Michael), Russell, Owen, Corbin, Cooper, and Reece.

A family memorial service is planned in the Spring.

Jean's devotion to God, family, church, friends, and charity stand as her legacy. Petite in stature, her spirit loomed large, especially in her roles as a volunteer firefighter and church member. Jean was never too tired to help and she gave countless hours to those in need or less fortunate. We take comfort in knowing that Grandma Jean is walking with the angels.
