Dewey Alberty 64 of 3500 Kenner Road passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at his home.

Born in 1953 in Guilford Co., NC to Lonnie Eugene and Helen Dewell Wilson Alberty, he is preceded in death by his parents, sister: Diane Callahan, brother: Paul Alberty.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, burial will follow at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Son: Charles Alberty and wife Billie Jean, daughter: Susan Cummings and husband Terry, brothers: Jimmy Alberty of Reidsville, NC, Nathan and wife June Alberty of Greensboro, NC, Five grandchildren, Five great-grandchildren, Special cousins: Sandra Thornton Torrans and Johnn Thornton,                                                                         a special caregiver and Best Friend:Helen Strickland.
