Debra Carr Pierce, 70, passed away in her home, surrounded by her loved ones on Friday June 19, 2026.

Funeral Service will take place at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at Faith Chapel Church of God, 1123 W Dr Martin L King Jr Blvd, Roseboro, NC 28382. Rev. Debra Rich, officiating. The family will visit in the chapel from 2:00-3:00 pm, prior to the service.

Burial will be held following the service in the Jones Family Cemetery, located on Roanoke Rd., in Newton Grove, NC. 

Debra was born in Germany on October 31, 1955 to the late Graham M. Carr and Colonial Lett Carr. She was an owner of a skating rink for 24 years. When she wasn't running her skating rink, she enjoyed traveling and loved writing. Debra loved animals of all kinds, from horses and chickens to dogs.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister: Ida Fischetti, and brother: Thomas Carr.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter: Gentry Pierce (Earl) of Fayetteville; sister: Tammie Smith (Delbert) of Clinton; and grandchildren: Camryn Michael Pierce, Ayla Grace Pierce, Kadyn Lane Koons and Austin Dakota Deemer.
