Darrell Wayne Royal, Sr. passed away at his home on Monday January 9, 2023.

Darrell was born April 7, 1960 in Sampson County, to the late Truman D. Royal and Delorus  McLamb Royal. Darrell was a skilled and extremely talented carpenter; he worked in the building industry for 35 years creating many long-lasting friendships. He had a passion for music and enjoyed playing his guitar. Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Truman D. Royal, and a brother Bronzell T. Royal.

Graveside Service will be held 3:00pm Monday January 16, 2023 at Calvary Tabernacle PFWB Church 6570 High House Road Clinton, by the Rev. Earl Kinlaw officiating.

He leaves behind his mother, Delorus McLamb Royal; a daughter, Vanessa Royal; a son, Wayne Royal; seven grandchildren; a brother, William Royal; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends (a Best Friend, Joel Davis), and his faithful cat, Bobbie. Darrell is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Walk through Visitation  4:00pm until 6:00pm Sunday January 15, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation 1246 Hobbton Hwy Clinton NC and 9:00 am until 1:00pm Monday January 16, 2023.
