Daniel Wilson 72, went to his heavenly home Friday March 31, 2023 at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg NC.

Daniel was born in Sampson County on January 25, 1951 to the late Iula Vann and Kirby Wilson. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening in his spare time. Daniel also loved to sit and talk with friends.

Preceding Daniel in death are his parents, Iula and Kirby Wilson; brothers, Kirby Wilson and Johnny Wilson; and sisters, Doris Taylor and Ruby Jones.

Funeral Service will be held 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

Visitation with the family will follow the service.

Left to cherish Daniel's memory are his children: Melissa Newsome of Smithfield and Shannon Wilson and friend Michele of Four Oaks; wife: Edith Bass Wilson; siblings: James (Pauline) Wilson of Roseboro, Mary Ann Naylor of Warsaw, and Steve (Carolyn) Wilson of Roseboro; and 4 grandchildren: Chance Norton, Lane Newsome, Matthew Summers, and Logan Newsome.
