Dan Otis Blue 52 of 676 Martin Road, Godwin passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at his home. Born in Sampson County to the late John Blue and to Dora Stacker Blue. Dan attended Midway High School where he played football for the Midway Raiders, he worked for Martin Meats for 15 years in Godwin, N.C. Dan attended Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Dunn, N.C., he was preceeded in death by his father John Blue Sr., Brother: John Blue Jr., Sister: Evelyn Harris and Patricia Green. A Home Going Service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel with Rev. Perry Ashford officiating, Inurnment will be held at a later time.
