Connie Diana Powell Strouth 68, passed away on Sunday February 13, 2022 at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton.

Connie was born in Sampson County on April 30, 1953 to Carl W. and Ella Mae Powell. She enjoyed the many years she worked cleaning peoples homes. Connie loved attending church, going shopping and growing beautiful flowers. She also loved to help others. Over the years she made many wonderful memories with her family, which included fishing, thrift store shopping, and beach trips. She is loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Connie is preceded in death by her husband Pastor John Curtis Strouth and her sister Joan Gail Bishop.

Connie leaves to cherish her memory her children: Tony Wayne Strouth,  Colton Waddell Strouth and wife Melissa, and Alanna Kaytlen Strouth; brothers: Jerry Powell and Craven "Cravey" Powell; grandchildren: Ashton Jaydon Kelly, Connor Reid Strouth, Annabella Faith Strouth, Megan Renee Strouth, Jessica Lynn Davis, and William Seth Harman; great-grandchildren: Leah Skye Rosales, Axell Allen Thomas, Hailie Renee Harman, William Seth Harman Jr., and Charlotte Novella Harman; and special friend: Tony Byrd as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Spirit of Life Church of God, 180 Overland Rd, Clinton, NC 28328. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park,  2809 US-421, Clinton, NC 28328.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC 28328. Family will receive guests other times at the home of son Coleton Strouth, 2926 Old Warsaw Rd. Clinton, NC 28328.
