Connie Powell 59 passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at her home.

Connie was born in 1966 to the late Dearl Lane and Mary E. Wimbley. She worked in the food service industry with Subway. Connie had many hobbies, including fishing, painting, and drawing, and most of all, she had a great love for her granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Connie is also preceded in death by her husband Samuel Powell, brothers Cecil Lane and LD Lane, nephew,Shaun Mason.

Funeral Service to take place at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328. Burial will follow in the family cemetery located on Lee-Johnson Rd., Dunn, NC.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

Connie leaves to cherish her memories: Children: Justin Powell of Ashville, Samuel Powell of Clinton, Siblings: Mary Mason of Clinton, Delbert Wayne Lane of Dunn, John Lane of Dunn. a special daughter, Heidi Shelton of Dunn, granddaughter, Lilly Powell, special niece and nephews, Cheyenne Mason of the home, David Mason of the home, Bentley Shelton of the home, Brandon Mason, Olivia Norris and Johnathan Mason also of the home, caregivers Mary Mason, Jonathan Mason and Alysia Mason, a host of additional nieces and nephews.
