Tuesday January, 17, 2012 Roseboro- Mrs. Clara Bell Bass Hobbs 70 of302 Broad Street Roseboro died Sunday January 15, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 2pm at the Roseboro UMC with the Rev. Sam Loy officiating, Burial will following in the Clinton Cemetery. Mrs. Hobbs was born in Sampson County on April 3, 1941 to John & Eloise Bass. Clara was the co-owner of The Printing Place since 1987. Mrs. Hobbs was proceeded in death by her parents John & Eloise Hobbs, Brothers Curtis & George Bass & a Half-sister Patty Williams. She leaves to cherish her memory; Sons- David F. Herring of Fayetteville Owen Herring of Benson Bobby Herring of Roseboro Mark Herring, J.D. Herring, & Lewis Herring all of Clinton. Daughter-Lynn H. Price of Vass Brothers- Wilton Bass of Clinton Milton Bass Half -Brother-Victor Nance both of Roseboro Half-Sister- Nancy Melvin of Clayton 16 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Wednesday January 18, 2012 from 7-9pm at the Hope Valley Funeral Service Chapel.
