Cindy Diane Barber 64, passed away Moday, December 18, 2023 at her home.

Cindy was born in Sampson County on July 20, 1959 to the late Wilber Wayne Barber and Earline Ash Light. She was a homemaker, dedicated to her home and her family. Cindy loved shopping and spending quality time with her family.

A Funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328. Pastor Chris Bishop, officiating. Burial at Turkey Baptist Church, 109 W Faison Ave, Turkey, NC 28393.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, 10:00 am-2:00 pm.

Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Wilber and Earline Barber; her sisters, Edna Vann and Debbie Grady Garris; and granddaughter, Jazlin McKenzie.

Cindy leaves to cherish her memory: the love of her life, Anderson E. Carter of Clinton, NC; daughter: Emily Barber (Harry Melvin) of Newport News, VA; brother: Wilbert E. Barber (BooBoo) of Salemburg, NC; granddaughters: Kaylee Stone (David) and Anna Rogers (Shykeim); and great grandchildren: Zayn Bennett, Za'Morah Bennett, Za'Novia Bennett, Zailee Bennett, and Payton Stone.
