Chellen "Joann" Harris-Williams 59 of 425 McKoy Street Apt C was born on January 7, 1963, in Clinton, NC to Joseph Harris (deceased) of Perth Amboy, NJ and Lillian Boone of Clinton, NC. She departed this life on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at her home.

Joann received her education from Sampson County School system and was a c/o 1981 graduate. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years, before retiring in 2010 due to health issues. Joann was known for helping and caring for others as much as possible. For those who had the privilege to know her, she will mostly be remembered for her humorous personality and infectious, one of a kind laugh, that always tickled anyone who heard it.

Home Going Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Whosoever Will Disciples of Christ Church on 76 Shirley Lane, Newton Grove.

A walk thru will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm with family present from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Shonda Wallace of Newton Grove, NC; Octavia Harris (Tate) of Clinton, NC; Valerie Carr of Roseboro NC; son Maurice Peterson (Snoopy) of Coram Side, NY; Mother Lillian Boone of Clinton NC; sisters Charlena Bullock of Coram, NY; Clavon Watson of Belport NY; Gloria Green of Perth Amboy, NJ; Renee Harris of Elizabeth, NJ; Brothers Chancy Boone of Bellport, NY; Willie Harris (deceased) of Elizabeth, NJ; 7 Grandchildren Tamoiya Aycock, DaCorris Morrison, Elijah Morrison, Tavionna Best, Caleb Peterson, Reign Harris, Kai Peterson; and a Special uncle Gary Jacobs of Clinton, NC and Jackie Jacobs of Columbia, South Carolina. Joann will also be forever remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends.
