“Branton Vann had a light in his eyes like no other—a light that reflected the joy, love, and happiness he shared with everyone he met.”

Branton Vann was born on December 14, 1990, in Clinton, North Carolina, to his loving mother, Kecia Vann, and was blessed to have the guidance, love, and support of his devoted godfather, Gino Jefferys.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328. Elder Tajuan Sutton, officiating. Burial will follow in Springvale Cemetery, located on W. Elizabeth St., Clinton, NC.

The Family will recieve friends the hour prior to the service, 1:00-2:00 pm, in the chapel.

From the very beginning, Branton’s radiant smile and joyful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He was the kind of person who could brighten any room with his laughter, dancing, and carefree personality. Whether he was singing, joking, or simply enjoying the company of those he loved, Branton had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome and bringing happiness wherever he went.

Branton graduated from Lumberton High School in 2012, where he was known for his love of athletics. He enjoyed participating in sports and embraced every opportunity to compete. If there was a sport offered at school, Branton wanted to be a part of it. Whether on the field or the court, he played with enthusiasm, determination, and heart, building friendships and memories that would last a lifetime.

Music was another one of Branton’s greatest passions and God-given talents. He possessed an extraordinary ability to play the drums completely by ear, a gift that amazed family and friends alike. He also loved to sing, often filling the room with classics such as “Cutie Pie,” “Love and Happiness,” and many other favorites. His love for music reflected the joy that filled his heart and the beautiful spirit he shared with the world.

Known for his warm heart, infectious smile, and kind spirit, Branton never met a stranger. He had a genuine way of connecting with people, making everyone feel welcomed and valued. His laughter was contagious, his presence was comforting, and his love for family and friends was evident in all that he did.

Throughout his life, Branton’s journey led him to many places, where he built meaningful friendships and created cherished memories. After many travels and life’s journeys, Branton peacefully entered eternal rest in Arizona on July 3, 2026. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave, the music he shared, and the joy he brought into the lives of others will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Branton leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving mother, Kecia Vann; his maternal grandmother, Alice J. Vann; his devoted godfather, Gino Jefferys; his loving aunts, Vonteka Simmons, Sann Vann, Tomantha Vann, Raymonda Vann, and Teasewniya Vann; his loving uncle, Torrell Vann; a host of cousins who were more like brothers and sisters; countless dear friends; and all whose lives were touched by his warmth, laughter, and unforgettable spirit.

“Although Branton’s earthly song has come to an end, the melody of his life will continue to echo in the hearts of those who loved him. His smile will be remembered, his laughter will be missed, and his love will never be forgotten. While we mourn his passing, we find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, resting safely in the arms of the Lord.”
