SFC Bobby Long 80 passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at his home.

Bobby was born in 1938 in Sampson County, North Carolina to the late Stacy and Lola Taylor Long and was the widow of Mrs. Lillie Ezzell Long.  He was a retired veteran of the U S Army National Guards, he was also employed with Valley Protein in Rosehill, NC, he is preceded in death by brother Elvin Long and sister: Melda Long.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at Mill Creek Baptist Church, 701 Mill Creek Church Rd, Roseboro, with Rev. Tom Hayes officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.

Bobby leaves to cherish his memories: Daughters: Denice Gardner and husband Gregg of Roseboro, NC, Cindi Burchette and husband Randy of Clinton, NC. Sister: Mary Ann Salo of Arizona, Brother: Ollie Long of the home, 3 grandchildren: Crystal Sessoms (Phillip Hewitt), Natalie K. Gardner, Brian S. Gardner, 5 great-grandchildren: Madyson Sessoms, Alexis Sessoms, Brayden Hewitt, Kiley Hewitt and Kayla Hewitt.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton and other times at 622 Harmony Church Road, Clinton.
