ERWIN — Betty Johnson Norris, 78, passed away on Oct.14, 2019, at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh.

Betty was the daughter of the late Edgar P. and Lula Johnson. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Edward Harper Norris Jr.; and sisters, Rosa Lee Jernigan, Ivar Faircloth and Lucy West.

Betty has two surviving sisters, Eula Mae Gregory and Shirley Lucas of Erwin. She is also survived by three children: Robin Norris, Rhonda Norris and Crockett Norris and wife Tina. Betty has five grandchildren: Brandy Mountcastle and husband Mark, Gator Norris, Brandon Norris, Stephanie Norris and Misty Norris. She has seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held at St. Matthews Church in Erwin at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019.

The family will receive visitors at the home of Crockett and Tina Norris after the service.
