It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Arthur Jackson Hardison Jr. (AJ) 78 of Rose Hill, NC. Arthur died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Arthur's love for his family and desire to care for them led to his enlistment in the military. Upon retirement, the simplest pleasures in life brought great joy. AJ enjoyed spending time with friends and family, traveling, porch sitting, long phone calls, and frequent card games.

Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Sr. and Lillian Moore; siblings Reba and Mattie (Simmons); and son Anthony "Buck" Hardison. Arthur adhered to the belief "For death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity".

Arthur will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 25 years, Nora; brother, Charles; children Craig, Arthur III (Tracey), Mattie; stepson, Fernando; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous friends and family.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00pm Wednesday January 25, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel 1246 Hobbton Hwy Clinton NC by Rev. Ed Hall officiating, burial will be held at later date.

Family & Friends Visitation will be held 6:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday January 24, 2023 Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel 1246 Hobbton Hwy Clinton NC
