April Leigh (Humphrey) Lovejoy 46, of 187 Luther Banks Rd., passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Onslow Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family.

April was born on April 4, 1977 in Onslow County to Morris Lee Humphrey and the late Evelyn Faye Humphrey. April obtained her Bachelor's Degree and worked for Onslow County Child Protective Services. April could often be found watching cartoons which brought her joy. She cared deeply for everyone and was a very passionate individual who could also be very headstrong at times. Her voice was loud and had a presence of its own. April was very family oriented and loved being surrounded by her family. She will be remembered and deeply missed by those who had the pleasure of sharing her light and laughter.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.

April is preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Humphrey.

Left to cherish the memories left by April: her husband, David Lovejoy of the home; two sons, Dawson Lovejoy and Colton Lovejoy of the home; and her father, Morris Humphrey.
