Anthony Murphy Knowles, born on August 28, 1972, in Sampson County, North Carolina, passed away on June 10, 2026, at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, NC. He was a devoted family man and a skilled craftsman whose life was marked by dedication to both his passions and his loved ones.
A visitation will be held on June 13, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed immediately by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 p.m. Both will take place at the Tyndall Grove PH Church, located at 800 Tyndall Grove Road, Clinton, NC 28328. Family, friends, and community members are invited to gather to honor Anthony’s life, his passions, and his enduring impact.
Anthony carved a unique path for himself as an entrepreneur, working independently as a handyman and running a game center. His professional endeavors reflected his hands-on expertise and his commitment to serving his community. Beyond his career, Anthony loved to spin wheels, was passionate about carpentry, as well as growing food in his garden. An avid fisherman, Anthony found joy in all things related to fishing, further highlighting his love for nature and outdoor life.
Above all, Anthony cherished his family. He is survived by his fiancé, Angela Pridgen, with whom he shared a loving home. He also leaves behind siblings Teddy Knowles (Sandra), Cristy Willetts (Jamie) of Clinton, and Chad Sessoms (Nicole) of Spivey Corner, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will carry forward his memory.
Anthony was preceded in death by his beloved parents: Wilbert Gray and Greta Spell Knowles; his son, Alston Knowles; and his brother, Randy Knowles. Their memories remain an integral part of his story.
Anthony Murphy Knowles will be remembered not only for his craftsmanship and entrepreneurial spirit but also for his profound love for his family and the simple joys he embraced throughout his life. His legacy will continue through the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
