Annette Pride was born to the late Janie Bell Owens and Randolph Cannady in Sampson County on April 25, 1942 and departed this life on January 1, 2024.

Annette attended Sampson County Schools. She was employed by Clinton Sewing until their closing.

Aside from her parents, Annette is preceded in death by her husband: John Pride; sisters: Hattie Mae London, Ruby Pride, Callie Sanders, and Shirley Brunson; and brother: Joe Tatum.

The Funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery located at 3 Sampson St., Clinton, NC 28328.

Visitation will take place 12:00-1:00 pm, prior to the service, within the Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories three daughters: Bridgette Tatum of the home, Shelia Tatum of Upper Darby, PA, and Pamela Boone of Fayetteville, NC; granddaughter: Sheneca Tatum; grandsons: Gregory Boone, Jazmine Boone, and Joshua Boone; great grandchildren: Nehemiah Tatum, Akira Calliste (Kemal), Gregory Boone II, Gabriel Boone, and Justin Boone; 1 great great grandchild: Gianni Calliste; 2 sister in laws: Pearlie Pride and Stella Garner; 2 special nieces: Johnnie London and Virginia Faison; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Professional services have been entrusted to Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation of Clinton.
