Angela Lenette Boykin Lane, age 51 whom we affectionately called "Angie" transitioned from this world on January 16, 2024, while surrounded by her close loved ones at Sampson Regional Medical Center, Clinton, NC.

Angie was born in Clinton, NC to James Boykin and Velma Bennett. She received her education in Clinton City Schools. After graduation she went on to pursue an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Sampson Community College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Fayetteville State University. Angie worked with Sampson County Headstart for several years.

Angie joined Sampson Chapel Disciples Church of Christ at an early age. Later in life she served as a member of the Youth and Young Adult Choir and loved assisting with Vacation Bible School. Angie loved singing, teaching, and lending a helping hand whenever needed. She was well loved by her family, friends, church, and community.

Now left to cherish her memories are; husband, Ronald Lane and son, Ray Lane of the home; parents, James Boykin, Lumberton, NC; Velma Bennett, Dunn, NC; two brothers Anthony Boykin (Mona), Charlotte, NC, Efren Boykin, Clinton, NC and was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Charles Bennett; one sister, Margurita Bennett, Clinton, NC and a very special uncle and friend, Kenneth Bennett, Garner, NC; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Home Going Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC.

Visitation will be prior to the service, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, within Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel. The family will also receive friends and visitors other times at 1208 Bearskin Rd., Salemburg, NC.
